It is part of the framework used for cross-border offerings and is often reviewed alongside related Canadian disclosure documents.

Form F-10 helps provide investors and regulators with offering information while permitting qualifying issuers to rely on the MJDS process. It does not apply to all foreign issuers. By comparison, Form F-1 is commonly used by foreign private issuers that do not qualify for a more specialized Securities Act registration form.

Eligible foreign private issuers with an established U.S. reporting history may also use Form F-3 for certain registered offerings. This provides another useful comparison with the specialized MJDS framework available to qualifying Canadian issuers through Form F-10.
